Bandito: Savannah Monitor
Well hello there, I know I look scary but I'm used to being around people, so don't worry. I am closely related to some of the largest reptiles on the planet such as the Crocodile Monitor and the popular Komodo Dragon! I am much more friendly than many of my relatives. I come from Africa and since I am still small there are many things that try to eat me. When I get scared I may hiss or try to whip with my tail to scare any predators away. When I am full grown I will be as long as 5 feet long and can eat everything that I fit in my massive mouth, as long as its not fruit or vegetables, yuuukkkk!
Coco: Scarlet Macaw
As many of you probably know, I am Coco. I am only 4 years old but I am king of the Rainforest. With my loud Screech I demand the attention of everything around me and with my powerful bite I can break open any nut that I come across. I have a large wing span and like to fly all across the Amazon! I love the company of others and will dance and sing whenever I get the chance. I will admit, I am a very needy bird and like to have nearly constant attention. That combined with my life expectancy of 80 years makes me not a very good pet even though my beautiful colors make everyone want me!
Maya: Blue-fronted Amazon
Hiya, I'm Maya! Its pretty easy to tell what species I am by my distinctive blue feathers on the front of my face. I am usually pretty quiet but I can be really loud and noisy when I want to be. I have a really strong beak that I use to crack open nuts to eat. My beak is not nearly as strong as Coco's though (see above). I am from the amazon rainforest and can be seen flying through the trees. I can live more than 35 years and grow to be a little more than a foot long. I am also very social so I love to spend time with Warriors and any birds that I meet.
Pancho and Pepe: Bearded Dragons
G'day mate. We come all the way from the Outback of Australia. Although we are only a few years old we already have grown beards, beards of spike that is! We can puff out these beards along with our body when we are scared or are in danger to make us look big and scary. We are also surprisingly fast when we want to be, and can dart across the desert sand o escape predators. We are not picky lizards like many of our other friends from Warriors, we will eat mice, all likes of bugs and we even love to eat our vegetables! We only live to about 10 years old so we are trying to make the best of it by traveling around with Warriors!
Comanche: Western Hognose Snake
Howdy y'all! I am a native Texan so if you see me in the wild don't kill me! Im non-venemous and eat lots of toads and other amphibians. I have small fangs in the back of my mouth that I use to hunt toads. If you scare me I will roll on my back and play dead. As you can see in my picture I have a split tongue that I use to pick up chemicals in the air kinda like how you use your nose. I live in the desert where it can get really hot during the day and drop down to freezing temperatures at night. I like to burrow in the sand to keep cool during the day and warm at night. So you never know where I might be hiding.
Princess: Chilean Rose Haired Tarantula
Don't worry I won't bite, if I'm scared I'll flick my hairs off at you which will itch like crazy! I only bite things that I eat like little bugs. Crickets are my favorite. Just like other insects I have a exoskeleton that protects me and I shed as I grow. I am an arachnid just like my friend Kuzco (see below) which means I have eight legs. I am a great climber however I like to spend most of my time on the ground. I live in the deserts and scrublands of Chile, bolivia and Argentina. Being a tarantula, I can still spin web and can live up to 20 years old!
Lilo and Stitch: Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks
Well hello there, we are a rare type of lizard from Papa New Guinea. We live in the montane rain forests where it stays nice and humid. We have spikes running down our backs just like crocodiles and have a hardened arrow shaped head. When we get scared we make a loud noise that kinda sounds like a squeaky toy. We have orange-red circles around our eyes that along with the spikes on our back give us the name Red eyed Crocodile Skink. We have black eyelids so that you can't tell if our eyes are open or not. If a predator tries to bite us our tail will come off so that we can escape and regrow the tail later. I hope you come and see us at the Warriors presentation or one of their booths!
